Two weeks ago, Brian Westbrook, the former Philadelphia Eagles running back, made a visit to Washington in order to make an interview with the head of Redskins. That was why there had been rumor that Westbrook was going to join Washington Redskins. Not long before the interview, he had said he did hope to play in Washington.
This Wednesday, Kyle Shanahan, the offensive coordinator, and Mike Shanahan, the head coach, made the announcement separately on one organized team activity. Both of them have mentioned that the team has prepared a formal contract offer to Brian Westbrook. Now Brian Westbrook’s dream to play in Washington finally came true. He must feel excited when he heard the news.
Do you remember that Brian Westbrook once said that he hopes to play on the field in Washington Redskins jersey? Yeah, he said that last week. At that time, he just hoped he can be made an offer by the team. But now, he did get the offer, however, it seems that he has to prepare for the season quickly if he expects to be there in 2010.
